Today, we all shared a few synopsis of the plays that we studied over the weekend. Jia Yun gave an overview of Hamlet, while everyone listened. Patrick told the story of the Merchant of Venice and Melissa shared Midsummer Night's Dream. For every synopsis, the genre was discussed eg fantasy, horror and so on. The background of the plays were also highlighted. After that, we were told to get into our groups and start discussing on the genre we wanted to do. We unanimously agreed not to do romance or anything like that. Instead, we thought of incorporating comedy into a horror or thriller based play. At the end of the class, Ms Pat spoke about commitment to the group and how we should all play our part. Patrick as our captain was to make sure that everyone attended and played our parts well. My group set a common time to meet and discuss our play. |
